[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] Yang Wanli (楊萬利), a Myanmar native who moved to Taiwan with her family when she was ten years old, has hazy memories of growing up in her own country. Yang did not rediscover and study the culture of her hometown in Myanmar until she knew about "Brilliant Tim Bookstore. Now Yang and several young people form the "Mingalar par"(緬甸街) team. In addition to publishing paper publications, they also occasionally guide bookstore customers in the Myanmar community on Huaxin Street (Burma Street).

In addition to community tours, Yang will also hold Burmese family banquets from time to time, inviting people who are interested in Burmese culture and food to come to her home to have dinner together which allows everyone experience the taste from Southeast Asia.

All the dishes from Yang 's childhood are prepared at the family banquet on Burma Street, including fried pork with pickled vegetables, sour papaya chicken, pounded peppers, masala pork belly, grass fruit chicken soup, chayote with egg, cold jicama, and homemade Yunnan crispy buns. Each dish tells a tale about Yang and the many new Burmese immigrants in Taiwan who miss their native country.
