To increase the vaccination rate, the Ministry of the Interior National Immigration Agency (NIA) promotes the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program”. Kaohsiung City Brigade, NIA Kaohsiung City First Service Center, NIA Kaohsiung City Second Service Center, and Department of Health, Kaohsiung City Government collaborated with one another and set up international vaccination stations in Kaohsiung Qianzhen (高雄前鎮), Meinung town (美濃) and Formosa Boulevard MRT station (美麗島捷運站).

Multilingual interpretation services, as well as gifts such as lunch boxes and washing powder are provided. The international vaccination stations have been launched on December 9 and attracted nearly a thousand people to get vaccinated. The services are extended to this week from December 15 to 17, and migrants are encouraged to seize the opportunity to get vaccinated!

Sally (pseudonym) from Indonesia, visited Kaohsiung for business purposes while holding a visa. Now Sally has been received Moderna vaccines successfully with personnel from NIA.

NIA is promoting the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” that encourages foreign nationals, including undocumented migrant workers and overstayers to receive free vaccination. If one does not have an identity document, one can also contact the relevant civil society organization. At the same time, NIA will also assist foreign workers in the application for UI No. for Foreign Nationals, and then get vaccinated at the designated sites.
