To solve the difficulty in hiring new immigrant language teachers for schools in rural areas, the National Education Administration of the Ministry of Education (NEA, 教育部國教署) has promoted the "New Immigrant Language Online Live Teaching Program" (新住民語文遠距直播教學計畫). Through the remote live broadcast learning model, the new immigrant language teachers and curriculum resources are brought to schools in rural areas.

The NEA has set up a "distance teaching/online learning zone" (遠距教學/線上學習專區) on the "New Immigrant Children Education Information Network" (新住民子女教育資訊網), inviting teachers to record the course contents live online, and uploading platforms to provide free teaching videos to let more people or students who are interested in Southeast Asian languages to learn at any time.

The NEA pointed out that in response to the 12-year national education syllabus for junior high school and elementary school students, they can take the new immigrant language courses as elective courses. Since the 2019 school year, the National Central University (國立中央大學) has been appointed to handle the "New Immigrant Language Courses Online Live Teaching Program" and hired new immigrants teaching support staff specializing in language teaching from seven countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the Philippines). Combined with online digital learning materials, and through the remote live broadcast model, teachers and course resources are brought to schools in rural areas.
