According to Undas 2023: BI reminds foreigners to comply early with departure rules | Inquirer News, in advance of the Undas, All Saints' Day, and All Souls' Day holiday breaks, foreign nationals planning to exit the country are urged by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to ensure they have complied with their immigration departure obligations.
The BI said on October 25 that early compliance with the regulations will cut down on waiting times in half by preventing needless lineups, especially at the airport cashiers run by the bureau the day of their flights, according to Undas 2023: BI reminds foreigners to comply early with departure rules | Inquirer News.
In order to exit the country, registered foreigners who are working, studying, or residing permanently in the Philippines are reminded by BI must get a special return certificate or re-entry permission from any of the bureau's district, field, satellite, or extension offices around the nation.
According to the BI, visitors who have been in the nation for more than six months may also get emigration clearance certificates prior to their departure.
According to a press statement from BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, the airport is expecting a huge influx of passengers this coming Undas. This time, they are witnessing a significant rise in the number of New Year's Day travelers due to the complete elimination of all Covid-related travel restrictions.
Additionally, according to Undas 2023: BI reminds foreigners to comply early with departure rules | Inquirer News, BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco reminded people that online immigration services are available through the bureau's e-services portal, which is accessible at https://e-services.immigration.gov.ph/.
In the one-stop store located at Ninoy Aquino International Airport's Terminal 3, he noted, departing foreigners might obtain the necessary paperwork.
After checking in, travelers should head immediately to immigration, the BI told them, and they should arrive at least three hours before their departure.
With the deployment of additional immigration agents, the Commissioner states that the agency is optimistic about the easier operations throughout the holiday season. As needed, they also allocated mobile counters and a fast reaction team for prompt deployment.
