Black dragon (黑龍), a YouTuber from Gambia, Africa, came to Taiwan to study and work. Now, he is a member of the YouTube channel "Taiwan Xun Qi (臺灣尋奇)". Besides demonstrating his proficiency in Chinese, he would speak Hokkien sometimes in a humorous way, making the audience feel entertained.

In this episode of the “New Immigrants in Taiwan” column, Black dragon tried tasting all kinds of canned food and canned desserts from Taiwan, and then selected his top three favorite food & the food he wants to bring home the most based on his preferences.

It is convenient to store and eat canned food. Therefore, many Taiwanese would like to keep some canned food at home and eat it as a side dish with porridge.
Black dragon had a taste of sweet potato porridge with all kinds of canned food. First of all, he tried “pickled cucumber (脆瓜)” and he could not stop eating it because it is appetizing. Later on, Black dragon tried “braised eel (紅燒鰻魚)” and “fermented bean curd (豆腐乳)”. However, the flavors of these two do not suit his taste because they are too sweet and salty to him.
Among all the canned food he had tried, “mackerel in tomato sauce (茄汁鯖魚)” is his top choice, and this is observable through his exaggerated expressions. Lastly, he tried “Ba Bao Zhou (八寶粥)”, a sweet & sticky soup made of several beans and grains, as well as “milk with peanuts (牛奶花生)”.

Black dragon also announced that the top two picks were “Ba Bao Zhou” and “mackerel in tomato sauce” respectively, and his third pick is “milk with peanuts” & “pickled cucumber”. He mentioned that he wants to bring “Ba Bao Zhou” and introduce it to people living in Africa.
