The Tainan City Government announced that the "2025 Tainan Christmas and New Year Series Events" will grandly kick off in mid-December. The event includes 3 family activities and 3 large-scale concerts, continuing throughout the weekends until the end of the year, promising a spectacular experience. Upgraded Lineup and Activities to Create an Unforgettable Year-End Feast
Last year's New Year’s Eve celebration gathered 15 heavyweight artists from Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, attracting 250,000 attendees. The 2025 event will be even more scaled up. Mayor Huang pointed out that international artists and groups invited in past years received widespread acclaim, and this year will be no different, with richer performances to accompany citizens in welcoming the new year.
One of the event highlights is the family activities. Besides maintaining the traditional venue at Tsung-Yeh Arts and Cultural Center, this year the activities will also extend to the Southern Taiwan Science Park Archaeological Museum and the Minzhi Civic Center Square in front of Nanying Hall, offering more diverse participation experiences. Each session will feature performances by well-known children's theater troupes, including the "If Kids Theatre" with their show "The Party-Loving Grasshopper," the "Apple Theatre" with "The Little Lion Celebrates Christmas," and the "Beans Theatre" with "Christmas Reindeer Mission." There will also be fun interactive activities such as clown performances, bubble parties, and challenge games. Additionally, pet adoption booths will be set up to promote animal protection, allowing parents and children to enjoy the festive atmosphere while cultivating an awareness of caring for life.
Mysterious Concert Lineup Adds to the Anticipation
The "2025 Tainan is So Young" concert lineup remains mysteriously confidential, but host Lan Lan playfully tried to probe the mayor about potential participants, such as whether there would be Korean, Japanese idols, or Golden Melody Award winners joining. Mayor Huang reiterated, "Just come!" Whether it's the New Year’s Eve concert or the fireworks show, both will offer an unparalleled audio-visual feast for the audience.

The Tainan City Department of Information and International Relations reminded everyone that the New Year coincides with the "2024 Tainan Shopping Festival," which continues until February next year. Every NT$50 spent allows participation in the lucky draw, with prizes including luxury cars and diamond rings.
