[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network]  The Executive Yuan has already approved the draft (疫後強化經濟特別條例) and will rebate NT$6,000 in cash. Although the policy's implementation date has not yet been disclosed, a scammer recently emailed a link purporting to be from the government, claiming that by clicking it, you can check in to receive it beforehand. Please check the pertinent facts as the Executive Yuan has not yet announced the delivery method or time!

The Executive Yuan spokeswoman (陳宗彥) claimed that some individuals received fraudulent emails claiming that the government had already distributed NT$6,000. The Executive Yuan urges the public to avoid clicking on links from unidentified sources in order to prevent the loss of personal information or property. The Executive Yuan has not issued any notice and will never inform the public in this manner.

The Executive Yuan spokeswoman (陳宗彥) emphasized that the method for payment system is still being developed and that pertinent supporting measures are being planned at the same time. The general public is urged to pay close attention. If you have any doubts, you can check to see if the URL ends with gov.tw to see if it is legitimate or not. To confirm, dial the 165 anti-fraud hotline.

The Executive Yuan has simultaneously requested that the Criminal Investigation Bureau to complete the investigation. The ministries will immediately inform the public if they run into similar circumstances in the future. In order to avoid being duped, The Executive Yuan spokeswoman (陳宗彥) also urges the general public to avoid clicking the forward links in such text messages or emails.
