Taiwan Changhua District Prosecutors Office "Anti-bribery New Power" Inviting New Residents to Shoot a Microfilm

Chunghua County has more than 23,000 people(nationally ranking 7th), and there are more than 10,000 people that have the right to vote. In response to the approaching 10th legislative election and 15th presidential and vice-presidential election, Taiwan Changhua District Prosecutors Office focuses on the participation of local new residents and cooperates with Chunghua County Service Station of the NIA (National Immigration Agency) and Chunghua New Residents Development Association to invite the local new residents to participate in the microfilm shooting. Under the guidance of Chief Prosecutor Xu Xixiang, this microfilm was shot by the Probation Office. The performers who were all new residents to let the public understand new residents' expectations towards Taiwan.

According to the analysis of new residents in Chunghua County, the spouses from mainland China accounts for the most (Vietnamese spouses rank second, Indonesian spouses rank third, and Thai spouses and Cambodian spouses are following after) 

These marriage immigrants' primary families have a lot of differences from Taiwanese life. Taiwan Changhua District Prosecutors Office invited new residents to express their ideas about Taiwan's electoral system through an anti-bribery quiz game. They also expressed that Taiwan's democratic system needs to be valued, and vote-buying and vote-selling are not allowed. The film is different from the past ways of advocacy through a hilarious and funny animation so that new residents can easily understand the main theme: anti-bribery.

Chief Prosecutor of Taiwan Changhua District Prosecutors Office, Xu Xixiang, states that he has great determination for anti-bribery. In this film, the reporting hotline:0800-024099 (press 4 after dialing) is being emphasized, and the Ministry of Justice's "Anti-bribery on Clouds Application" and "Taiwan Changhua District Prosecutors Office Line@"(http://nav.cx/eqODL1c) are also being provided. The public is encouraged to report any electoral bribery to earn the bonus. 

 

The director of Chunghua Service Station of the NIA, Lin Hongzhi, the chairman of Chunghua New Residents Development Association, Li Minghui, and the new residents in Chunghua also express their supports for a clean and fair election and call on the public in Chunghua County and other new residents to respond together to the concept of anti-bribery. The new residents on the spot also brought about a brilliant performance that was awarded a certificate of appreciation by Chief Prosecutor Xu and Chairman Li being the representative of receiving the award. Thanks for new residents' enthusiasm to join in the performance of the anti-bribery film. The activity had a perfect ending.
