Kaohsiung has once again been recommended by the renowned culinary guide "Michelin" on its official website, showcasing its endless tourism appeal. Kaohsiung Tourism Bureau Director Gao Minlin stated that Kaohsiung is "delicious, fun, and great value for money," making it a must-visit for domestic and international travelers to experience the leisurely pace and unique lifestyle of this ocean city. The Michelin Taiwan and Singapore websites respectively recommended this harbor city on June 24 and 28, introducing Kaohsiung's marine charm, Bib Gourmand recommended restaurants and various cuisines, fresh seafood, as well as attractions like Love River and Oyster Bay, and abundant accommodation resources. Kaohsiung has not only been recognized by Michelin but also recommended by the internationally renowned booking website AGODA, ranking as one of the top eight best-value travel destinations in Asia, and the only city in Taiwan to make the list. This city, rich with mountain, sea, river, and port tourism resources, blends various culinary cultures and boasts strong culinary prowess, developing a unique and charming flavor. Currently, Kaohsiung has 60 Michelin-starred, Bib Gourmand, and selected restaurants, delighting both domestic and international tourists. Come to Kaohsiung for an Exciting Summer to Enjoy Scenery and Delicacies Director Gao Minlin pointed out that Kaohsiung is the best travel destination in the country, offering diverse cuisines, rich activities, and the highest number of star-rated hotels nationwide, with over 20,000 rooms available to meet the needs of domestic and international travelers. With popular attractions like Love River, Asia New Bay Area, Pier-2 Art Center, Warehouse Cluster, Dagang Bridge, Kaohsiung Lighthouse, Lotus Pond, Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, Qishan Old Street, and Tianliao Moon World, Kaohsiung has become a top travel hotspot for tourists from home and abroad. The Yellow Duck Kaohsiung Lantern Festival earlier this year attracted over 9 million domestic and international visitors, generating 14 billion in economic value, with the highest online buzz nationwide. During the summer vacation, Kaohsiung offers a variety of exciting activities, including the Summer Animal Season at Shoushan Zoo, Cijin Kite Festival and Inflatable Water Park, marine parties, Dagang Ice Skating, DIY raft building, Kaohsiung Beer Music Festival, and numerous famous concerts. With its rich tourist highlights, exciting activities, quality accommodation, and enticing food, Kaohsiung also features the Kaohsiung Fun Pass (KH Fun Pass), combining tourist attractions and transportation. The Tourism Bureau further pointed out that to prepare for the upcoming summer travel boom, the bureau has proactively promoted the accommodation guidance program to enhance service quality, earning the honor of "National Excellence in Accommodation Guidance" from the Tourism Bureau. Kaohsiung currently has 40 star-rated hotels, the highest in the country. Additionally, the internationally renowned Nikko Hotel will open by the end of the year, injecting new vitality into the hospitality industry.
