[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] After being suspended for two years, the ITFOK, International Theater Festival of Kerala, resumed this year. It has been held for 12 straight sessions. It anticipates the international art festival and gathers 10 performing arts teams from 8 different countries. The Ming Hwa Yuan Art & Cultural Group from Taiwan is the only artistic team chosen for the invitation with traditional theater because exchanges foster fresh thinking.

The Ming Hwa Yuan Art & Cultural Group is performing for the first time abroad since the pandemic. The CEO escorted 40 members to the event. On February 6th, the romantic love story (鴛鴦槍) and performance of the martial arts and stunt-infused (護國將軍) were performed for the first time. Indian audiences were successfully drawn to the two dramas. At least three newspapers in Kerala published large-format articles the next day. A two-minute news segment was also shown by the neighborhood TV station 24 News.

On the evening of the 7th, The Ming Hwa Yuan Art & Cultural Group held its second public performance. The performance that night included more Bollywood dances and local language passages than the first performance and invited Indian audiences to the stage to learn the singing styles of Taiwanese Opera, so that Indian audiences can participate.

The Ming Hwa Yuan Art & Cultural Group also launched a tour plan (全球百大名校巡演) at the same time to exchange experiences with the Indian University of the Arts and participating artists from various countries. Additionally, The Ming Hwa Yuan Art & Cultural Group uses Taiwanese Opera to promote Taiwanese culture, which allows the world to see more of Taiwan.
