Taichung ASEAN Square “Vaccination Express Station” will be open till January 23, foreigners are encouraged to get vaccinated soon!

National Immigration Agency (Taichung City First Service Center), Taichung Brigade and Health Bureau, and Taichung City Government launched the second round of the “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” on December 18 and 19 at Taichung ASEAN Square. The program adopts “won’t be reported”, “won’t be seized”, “won’t be charged for any fee”, “won’t be banned” that encourage foreigners to get vaccinated with peace of mind and enjoy holidays during Chinese New Year.

Since the start of “Carefree Covid-19 Vaccination Program” at Taichung ASEAN Square, foreign nationals have taken the initiative to get vaccinated and the service station has received many inquiries.

Therefore, the National Immigration Agency (NIA) and the Taichung City Government have decided to continue to work together to set up vaccination sites providing convenient services to foreigners.

From now until January 23, 2022, " Taichung ASEAN Square Vaccination Express Station" will be open every weekend from 1 to 4 pm.

A Wen (nickname), a migrant worker from Vietnam, said that he would like to go back to his hometown after getting vaccinated in Taiwan. Not only protecting himself on the journey back to Vietnam but he would also be able to protect his family member after they reunited with one another.

NIA uses the slogan "Regardless of identity, Get vaccinated at any time" at Taichung ASEAN Square, encouraging foreign nationals, including undocumented migrant workers and overstayers to receive a free vaccination.

At the same time, to enable migrant workers to understand the whole process during vaccination, the service station specially arranged interpreters to explain the suggestions and precautions for vaccination. It is hoped that they can get vaccinated with peace of mind.
