People in Taiwan may have become accustomed to putting down their stuff after locating an open seat at coffee shops or restaurants and buy meals afterwards.

A few days ago, Boaz Shmueli, a foreign tourist who came to Taiwan, shared on twitter that he saw a cellphone on the round table of the coffee shop, but there was no one in the seat. Instead, the surrounding seats were full of people, while others who were looking for seats would also avoid the seat that with only one mobile phone on the table, which made Shmueli praise, "Taiwan is the only country in the world where people use their iPhone to secure a table."

The NPR reporter in Taiwan shared his personal story in the tweet, relating how he once neglected to take his motorcycle's key out but was not robbed as a result. Some kind Taiwanese people left a clever note to remember him or place the keys in the front glove box. This tweet was also shared to the Facebook group (割蘿蔔外電譯站), creating a quite stir.
