Overseas Community Affairs Council: Supports and cares for overseas Chinese students amid the COVID-19 epidemic

There have been recent diagnoses of overseas Chinese students and the minister of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) Tung Chen-yuan expressed his concern. Minister Tung requested schools to cooperate with health agencies to enhance epidemic prevention measures for the welfare of overseas Chinese students.

To ensure the safety of overseas Chinese students, the Epidemic Prevention and Care team of OCAC formulated the "Safety Procedures for Epidemic Prevention for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan". By understanding the health conditions of overseas Chinese students, OCAC can provide care and peace of mind. If students have any questions, they may inquire through the Line consultation service of the OCAC.

The OCAC stated that the Taiwanese government has formulated the "Principles for Quarantine, Inspection, Screening and more" for the COVID-19 virus. Diagnosis expenses, quarantine expenses, testing, and inspection-related expenses will be covered by the Taiwanese government.
