On August 3rd, the National Taiwan Museum of Literature held a unique fashion show at its Literary Light Gallery, where 26 amateur models showcased postcard creations from the "Bless Tainan" collection, brimming with cultural charm. Distinguished guests, including Ms. Chen Yu-Hsiu, Honorary Chairperson of the Egret Foundation and Chairperson of the Taiwan Art and Fashion Association, Deputy Director of the National Taiwan Museum of Literature Ms. Hsiao Shu-Chen, and artist Ms. Liu Feng-Yi, graced the event.

This event, titled "Blossom—Tainan 400 Fashion Show," was co-organized by the Egret Foundation and the Taiwan Art and Fashion Association, in collaboration with the National Taiwan Museum of Literature. Specially invited was Ms. Huang Xiu-Jin, founder of the fashion brand Jin Garden, who drew inspiration from postcards by three outstanding artists—Chiang Hsien-Erh, Liu Feng-Yi, and Watanabe Katsunori. The clothing, crafted from sustainable and recycled materials, highlighted the cultural depth and creative fashion of Tainan 400.The models wore postcards with the message 'Blessings to Tainan' as part of their outfits (Photo / Taken from the Ministry of Culture website

Designer Huang Xiu-Jin remarked that each piece is like a walking poem; the clothing is not just fabric but an expression of art and culture, reconstructing artistic layers to present unique charm. These works are a beautiful blessing for Tainan 400.

Chairperson Chen Yu-Hsiu noted that this fashion show seamlessly blends art and fashion, creating a moving landscape in a cultural city. Art only holds eternal value when it merges with daily life. Deputy Director Hsiao Shu-Chen added that the National Taiwan Museum of Literature is committed to exploring the possibilities of interdisciplinary and cross-domain literature. Hosting a fashion show for the first time at the Literary Light Gallery, the amateur models performed on par with professionals, skillfully merging cultural significance and artistic aesthetics in the museum space, showcasing the fashionable allure of Taiwanese literature.

Moreover, the artists' postcard works featured in the fashion show are also displayed in the "Tainan 400 Mail Art—Postal Art Exhibition," held at the National Taiwan Museum of Literature and the Governor's Residence Life Museum. The exhibition includes over 600 pieces from 19 countries, including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and India. The exhibition runs until August 31st, inviting audiences to experience the blessings from around the world and appreciate the precious value of Taiwan's diverse culture, while looking forward to more exciting cultural dialogues in the future. The 'Tainan_400_Mail_Art—Postal Art Exhibition' is displayed at the Taiwan Literature Museum and the Governor's Residence Lifestyle Museum (Photo / Taken from the Ministry of Culture website)
