2021 Taipei Labor Film Festival debuts on October 2 and features “transnational migrant workers” and struggles in a foreign land

The Taipei City Department of Labor (DOL, 臺北市勞動局) held a press conference for the launch of the "2021 Taipei International Labor Film Festival" (2021勞動影像嘉年華－臺北勞工影展). Golden Horse actor Li Kang-Sheng (李康生) attended as an ambassador. This year, the main themes will be about transnational mobility and international migrant workers (跨國移動和國際移工), mainly because the world is affected by the epidemic, whether in Taiwan or in other countries, many industries have undergone rapid changes, and the impact on migration is especially serious, and should be given special concern.

The DOL of Taipei City stated that the "2021 Taipei International Labor Film Festival" will be shown for free on the online platform "Joint Movies” (想映電影院) from October 2 to 15. The focus of this year's film festival is "Transnational Movement and International Migrant Workers", with the four themes of "Flight Log for Changing Days", "Fearless Moving Forward", "Images of Modern Labor Groups" and "Labor Awards". This is the first time to hold an online screening. Audiences can register for the movie on the online platform of "Joint Movies".

In addition, the film festival is conducted in the form of an online cinema. The public can register on the official website of the event from September 17th to September 27th, and they can easily enjoy watching many wonderful films at home. The list of films and the registration method can be checked on the official website of the event. For registration, one must register as a member of "Joint Movies" and complete the registration form. Each person can register for 3 movies at a time.
