The pineapple cakes from Taiwan have long been a favorite gift among travelers. The "MRT Wanglai Cake Gift Box" (捷運旺來酥禮盒) was exclusively introduced by Taipei Metro in partnership with the well-known pineapple cake company "Ching Tse" of Taitung. The pineapple cakes have the MRT train head design printed on them. Taiwan's iconic pineapple cake is frequently brought home by visitors for consumption.

The local pineapples grown in Taitung and white gourd jam are used to make the pineapple cake's filling. A front of an MRT train is imprinted onto the look. The gift box's front design features the busy 381 MRT train as well as silhouettes of well-known landmarks.

The Taipei MRT Corporation said that beginning of September 1st, "Q version of the MRT train front-shaped pineapple cake (single entry) redemption coupon" would be sent via the "Taipei MRT Go" App and can be redeemed for MRT goods during the given time frame. While supplies last, redeem at the Zhongshan and Taipei Main Station stores.
