The CECC spokesperson, Chuang Jen-Hsiang said that to prevent the Delta variant from entering our community from abroad, arriving travelers are not allowed to do home quarantine. There will be no need for relatives and friends to pick them up at the airport. This is to reduce the risk of virus transmission. Therefore, for the safety of the community, friends and relatives of incoming passengers will not be allowed to pick them up at the airport. If the friends or relatives of inbound passengers still go to the airport to pick them up or if the inbound passengers refuse to take the designated anti-Covid transportation to go to the quarantine location, there is a fine of NT$10,000 to NT$150,000 in accordance with Articles 58 and 69 of the "Communicable Disease Control Act".

Also, tourists arriving from these 7 high risk countries: Brazil, India, England, Peru, Israel, Indonesia and Bengal, must take the anti-Covid19 vehicles designated by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOT, 中華民國交通部) to go to the quarantine area. If incoming tourists are not arriving from these “high-risk countries”, they are to take the anti-Covid19 transportation or their own cars to go to the quarantine hotel or to the quarantine center at their own expense.
