According to The Star, ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd's Vaccination Centre (PPV) Outreach Programme encourages employers to arrange for their staff to receive Covid-19 booster doses.
ProtectHealth stated in a statement that the initiative gives employees a more controlled and convenient manner to get their booster shots, especially those who work in factories and are immobile.

"The PPV Outreach Campaign is one technique to speed up booster dose immunization by focusing on specific groups and sectors for a one- to seven-day program, depending on the number of vaccine recipients.

"Previously, the majority of employees would go to the PPV, but companies can now choose to organize a vaccination drive for their staff.
"We also invite employers and community leaders to partner with private medical practitioners (PMPs) and healthcare NGOs to undertake targeted immunization at their place, workplace, or factory to enhance vaccine coverage," said ProtectHealth chief executive officer Datuk Dr Anas Alam Faizli.
Companies and associations can work with ProtectHealth-registered PMPs or healthcare NGOs to perform the PPV Outreach Program for their employees or members.

The government covered the cost of vaccines and delivered them free of charge, and businesses were not allowed to charge their employees for booster doses under the program.
"ProtectHealth will compensate the PMP and Healthcare NGO for each immunization administered, as well as the provider for all clinical services rendered.
"Employers are not allowed to charge vaccine recipients, and they must provide suitable locations and non-clinical equipment for the PMP and healthcare NGOs to carry out the vaccination push, according to the statement.
