MOI held a senior professional talent review meeting for naturalization on 30th, and 11 professional talents became naturalized citizens in Taiwan such as Mr. Gu, who specializes in financial development trends from the U.S. Since the implementation of the Nationality Law on December 21, 2016, a total of 111 foreign senior professionals who have stayed in Taiwan and love this land have naturalization in Taiwan without losing their original nationality.
MOI stated that there are 11 professional talents passed the estimation of naturalization, including 3 talents in medical filed, 1 in economics, 2 in culture and art, 3 in education, 1 in technology and 1 in finance. Mr. Gu came to Taiwan for work since 1988 as researcher and supervisor of foreign investment company. He studied for the Asian market of Taiwan and Hong Kong for almost 30 years and named as the Mr. Taiwan who understand Taiwan market the most in foreign investment. He has made great contributions to cultivating professionals in the field of financial resources in Taiwan and promoting the development of the securities market.
In addition, Mr. Sean from France focused on film editing and has outstanding artistic skills who creates 16 documentaries of society and culture of Taiwan and 2 feature films. He promotes Taiwanese traditional culture to the European country such as France and Italy and has won the 22th Taiwan-France cultural award for enhancing traditional culture of Taiwan into the world.
Ms. Fang from Malaysia is expert in the field of ENT medical care and assistant professor in FJU. Fang contributed in research and medical services and has published 23 SCI medical journals. She is also dedicated to the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing and medical education through teaching.
MOI stated that the senior professional talents will obtain the right to participate in politics and social welfare after naturalized in citizenship in Taiwan. In order to facilitate the international senior professionals to understand relevant information, MOI has put up the information for senior professionals applying for the naturalization on Department of Household Registration Website. It also welcomes more senior professional talents to apply for naturalization to become Taiwanese and contributes to this land together.
