According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Filipino film and television actress Ai-Ai delas Alas is getting ready to bake some treats for her American fans as she launches her own bakery – Martina's in San Francisco, California. The comedian made this announcement by dressing as a chef and posting pictures of desserts on her Instagram feed.

“Hello Kapuso, fellow Filipinos, friends, and neighbors. Milk buns and ube pandesal are back now. For the time being, that is all I will offer because I might not be able to handle it,” she mentioned in Filipino.

Right now, customers are only permitted to bring a maximum of 24 pastries at a time, and the company only accepts orders from within San Francisco. This is because she is the only person who take charge of baking the desserts.

In April 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Delas Alas launched her baking shop from her house in Quezon City. Even as the community quarantine restrictions were removed, it seemed that she had stopped operations in August of last year.
