18 foreign students and 18 Taiwanese students from 13 different countries were invited to participate in the Cycling Camp around Taiwan, which was jointly organized by the Department of Education of Taipei City Government, Education Department, Hsinchu City Government, and Rotary International. The tour began at the New Taipei City Government Plaza and covered 923 kilometers.

According to the Department of Education of the Taipei City Government, this cycling tour will begin at the New Taipei City Government Plaza, travel through the cities of Miaoli, Hsinchu, Pingtung, and Kenting, and then continue along Zhiben, Taitung, Changbin, Hualien, and Jiaosi, Yilan before arriving at the East Gate Square of Taipei City Government as the destination.

Additionally, German student Geriit mentioned how much he enjoyed the cycling tour in Taiwan. He could take in Taiwan's mountains, seascapes, and woods while also learning about its temple culture and sampling local delicacies.

The members of a special committee in the Department of Education of the Taipei City Government are hoping that by hosting this event, foreign student will be inspired to come or study in Taipei and will be able to tell their family and friends about their time there when they return home.
