To promote multicultural exchange, the Taichung New Immigrants Arts and Culture Center is launching a permanent exhibition titled &ldquoReconnecting Through Play&rdquo from April 20 to November 30, 2025, at 1F, No. 331, Section 1, Wenxin South 5th Road, Nantun District (inside Fengle Sculpture Park).
This exhibition centers around traditional toys from various countries, inviting the public to revisit childhood memories and experience the joy of cross-cultural play. By showcasing selected traditional games from different cultures, it highlights the diverse cultural backgrounds and everyday life of new immigrants. These familiar yet novel toys aim to evoke shared memories across generations and create a cultural platform that blends education and fun.
According to the Taichung City Government, this exhibition aims to foster ethnic inclusion, helping residents learn about each other through the lens of childhood play, encouraging respect for differences, and promoting a friendly and inclusive city atmosphere. New immigrant families and the general public are warmly welcomed to visit, enjoy weekend moments together, and feel the warmth of home and the beauty of childhood.
