Q: After obtaining a work permit, can the adult children of foreign special professionals work part-time in Taiwan? Does a new employer need to apply for a separate permit with the Ministry of Labor?
A: Yes, they may work part-time. The new employer does not need to apply for an additional employment permit from the Ministry of Labor. 

Q: When can the adult children of foreign special professionals with permanent residency apply for a work permit?
A: Since the "Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals" took effect on February 8, 2018, those who meet the application requirements may submit the application form and relevant documents directly to the Workforce Development Agency (WDA), Ministry of Labor. The application form has been available for download on the WDA&rsquos official website since February 8, 2018

Q: What is the application fee for a work permit for adult children of foreign special professionals with permanent residency?
A: According to Article 5 of the &ldquoFee Standards for Applications under the Act for the Recruitment and Employment of Foreign Professionals,&rdquo the review fee for each application is NT$100. 

Q: Is it necessary to attach the payment receipt when applying for a work permit for adult children of foreign special professionals with permanent residency?
A: No, attaching the receipt is not required, but the receipt details must be filled in on the application form. 

Q: Is there an expiration date for work permits issued to adult children of foreign special professionals with permanent residency?
A: No, there is no validity period specified for such work permits. 

Q: How can one obtain the application form for a work permit for adult children of foreign special professionals with permanent residency?
A: Since January 2022, the Ministry of Labor has provided an online application system. Adult children of foreign special professionals can use the &ldquoForeign Professionals Online Work Permit Application System&rdquo (website: https://ezwp.wda.gov.tw to submit applications, make payments, receive notifications, and track progress&mdashavailable 24/7 without the need to visit in person.Online applications for work permits are now open for adult children of foreign special professionals!
