Singapore’s Health Minister Wang Yi-kang (王乙康) said that as Singapore resumes more activities, Covid-19 testing needs to be faster and more convenient. The Health Sciences Authority (新加坡衛生科學局) of Singapore has approved 4 DIY rapid antigen test kits that can be sold directly to the public. These test kits are easy to use, and results can be obtained within 20 minutes. In addition, if the test result of the rapid antigen test kit used by the public is positive, they should immediately go to a clinic to receive a PCR nucleic acid test to further confirm whether they are really infected. They must be isolated until the test result is determined to be negative. Those who already have symptoms of respiratory tract infection should seek medical treatment and undergo PCR testing instead of using the DIY rapid antigen test kits.
