Wu Jing (吳靜), a new immigrant from Sichuan, was selected for the "9th Dream-Building Project for New Immigrants and Their Children". She brought her son and members of the art troupe (川越文化藝術團), combined with Taiwan's Taiko drum and Chinese waist drum art, in the event performance (FUN粽光明太鼓慶端午).

Wu Jing (吳靜)'s family originally resided in the mainland China. She felt unfamiliar with cultural practices after moving to Taiwan. After getting to know new immigrants who were from different nations, they established an art group (川越文化藝術團) to learn dancing to help new immigrants better grasp Taiwanese culture.
Wu Jing took her son to join the art group (川越文化藝術團) to learned about Taiwanese culture with her son through inspirational training, and led the group members to participate in public welfare performances, and performed in local associations, communities and temple activities.
National Immigration Agency has established the Dream-Building Project for New Immigrants and Their Children and Scholarship (Incentive) Program to assist new immigrants and their children in realizing their dreams, according to the director (王驥) of NIA Taichung City First Service Center. NIA also encourages second-generation immigrants to Taiwan to actively apply and pursue their aspirations.
