Bento can be said to be the daily necessities of Taiwanese, this time it has conquered the taste buds of Wimbledon players! Since there is a dining car in front of the official hotel that provides “Taiwanese bento”, German star Zuverif, on the recommendation of “Treasure Island No. 1 Brother” Lu Yen-hsün (盧彥勳), has to buy a second one after eating one, Greece’s Sisipas, and Japanese female player Misaki Doi. There are many early adopters, and there are long queues of good reviews.

According to [Archyworldys], The elder brother Lu Wei-ju(盧威儒), who accompanied Yen-hsün to London, showed a detailed scene of Taiwan’s lunchbox raising the Wimbledon. In the middle of the square, there was a large dining truck with the word “Bento” written on it, and it also marked it as “Taiwanese Rice Box,” which attracted many people to stop by.

The Championships, Wimbledon is the most prestigious open tournament in tennis. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, organizers assigned players to stay in one hotel for their health and safety.

2 dishes were served at the food stand, salty crispy chicken and fried shiitake mushroom.  German tennis player Alexander Zverev gave praise for its flavor saying one box is not enough. Japanese tennis player Misaki Doi also expressed to Yen-hsün how delicious the Taiwanese bento was.
