Taiwan is one the countries known to have the best medical Best Public Health Care Systems. Taiwan’s health care system was once ranked as the best in the world in Numbeo's annual online survey.
Recently, Maria Jose Cubero, a journalist from Costa Rica, shared her own labor experience in a YouTube interview. Maria says she wants to thank Taiwan’s medical health care for saving both her son and her. The video went viral after it was released.
Maria was interviewed by the Stopkiddinstudio YouTube channel.
In the interview, Maria mentions she first knew about Taiwan because of her husband. Her husband is a pilot for a Taiwanese company. After staying in Taiwan for a year, Maria’s husband had a good impression of Taiwan and was willing to raise their family. Maria and her son also wanted to experience the Taiwanese culture, so they came to Taiwan.

Maria has lived in Taiwan for over 2 years.
Maria says being a journalist makes it possible for her to work in Taiwan. She can send her articles via email back to Costa Rica.
Maria also gave birth to her second child in Taiwan and says that the health care system in Taiwan is better than the one in Costa Rica.
“I thought it was the best experience [Costa Rica] until I have my second C-section here in Taiwan,” Maria said about her labor experience in Taiwan during the interview.
Maria mentioned that the health care system in Taiwan is much cheaper. She says the health care service was thoughtful. The hospital also provided a convenient paper document and checkup service.
“For a foreign mother with a lot of pressure, Taiwan’s health care service helped a lot save us,” Maria says.
