The general public are advised to take advantage of two-in-one upgraded service for registration and customs clearance when traveling on summer vocation
National Immigration Agency's automatic customs inspection and clearance system has launched a two-in-one upgraded service for registration and customs clearance. From November 1, 2022, if citizens aged 12 or above and foreigners holding ARC have not registered for automatic customs clearance, only need to register directly in the gateway when entering or leaving the country. After registration, you can directly clear the customs and use it for a lifetime, allowing passengers to enjoy more convenient customs clearance options.
The new third-generation automatic inspection and customs clearance system is installed in airports and ports such as Songshan Airport, Taoyuan Airport, Kaohsiung Airport, Keelung Port East and West Coast Travel Center, Kinmen Shuitou Airport, Ports, etc. The system improves the identification and comparison function and increases the security of chip passport inspection.
Providing a two-in-one service for registration and customs clearance, so that when using automatic customs clearance for the first time, those who have not yet registered only need to show their chip passport at the gate for comparison, and after agreeing to save your face image or capture your fingerprint data, then registration and customs clearance can be completed, significantly simplifying the registration process.
Scan passport or Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) to register
Citizens or foreigners holding Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), need to scan their passports or ARC for review before the automatic customs clearance gate.

Facial image and fingerprint recognition capture for registration
Passengers have the option of consenting to the capturing of their face photographs or both their fingerprints and face photographs in order to complete registration.
Reminder: When registering, remember to take off masks, hats and other things that block your face to avoid affecting customs clearance identification.
