From November 1, 2022, if citizens aged 12 or above and foreigners holding ARC have not registered for automatic customs clearance, only need to register directly in the gateway when entering or leaving the country. After registration, you can directly clear the customs and use it for a lifetime, allowing passengers to enjoy more convenient customs clearance options.
The new third-generation automatic inspection and customs clearance system is installed in airports and ports such as Songshan Airport, Taoyuan Airport, Kaohsiung Airport, Keelung Port East and West Coast Travel Center, Kinmen Shuitou Airport, Ports, etc. The system improves the identification and comparison function and increases the security of chip passport inspection.
Providing a two-in-one service for registration and customs clearance, so that when using automatic customs clearance for the first time, those who have not yet registered only need to show their chip passport at the gate for comparison, and after agreeing to save your face image or capture your fingerprint data, then registration and customs clearance can be completed, significantly simplifying the registration process.
