The Ministry of Education (MOE) has stated that roughly 5,000 overseas language students who do not possess the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (獎學金華語生) would be able to enter Taiwan in March. Applications are now open to schools, and it is expected that about 5,000 students will come to Taiwan by the end of the 110 academic year.

Due to the influx of passengers around the busy Lunar New Year travel period, MOE has announced the scheduled dates for students who do not possess the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship will be adjusted according to CECC’s regulations.
Students must have a negative COVID-19 test result within three days of boarding their aircraft, as well as a PCR test upon arrival and before the completion of their mandated 14-day quarantine. In addition, on the 6th to 7th day of serving the self-health management, rapid test kit will be conducted once.

MOE emphasized that the non-scholarship students who have travel history to high-risk countries in the past 14 days will be admitted to the state-financed collective quarantine facilities; those who have no travel history to high-risk countries in the past 14 days can also choose to stay in the collective quarantine facilities at their own expense.
