The Houston Police Department's "Police Mandarin" course is the first Mandarin language course in the US, according to the director of the Department of International and Cross-strait Education. It fully exemplifies the inclusive understanding and spirit of communion of multiculturalism and fosters neighboring communities. To encourage Mandarin culture locally, the Harris County Police Department conducts seminars such to this one.

Apart from taking part in the National Day festivities, the U.S. delegation paid visits to various establishments, including the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, K Central Police University in Taoyuan City, and the Kaohsiung City Police Department with the aim of strengthening the educational cooperation ties between American authorities and Taiwanese counterparts.
