The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government, and other Taipei local businesses recently traveled to Malaysia and Singapore to have discussions about tourist marketing in order to broaden international markets following the pandemic. To entice more Singaporeans to visit Taiwan, the Department of Information and Tourism has launched a range of offers in Singapore, including travel vouchers, free beef noodles, wedding photography, DIY pastry experiences, etc.

The "Taipei travel gift pack" was introduced this year as a result of cooperation between the Department of Information and Tourism, China Airlines, and Taipei local businesses, according to the director (陳淑慧) of the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government. Singaporean travelers who book tickets on China Airlines for travel to Taipei between September 1 and December 31 will receive a special gift package that includes 72-hour MRT passes, Taipei Sightseeing Bus tickets, one-day Maokong Gondola tickets, etc. many deals, plus more.

Additionally, the city government launched the "Singapore-Malaysia Tourist Exclusive Project" with local businesses. Singaporean visitors to Taipei who arrive during the period and show their passports can take advantage of beef noodles and side dishes at specified restaurants, discounts on wedding photography, and free DIY pastry experiences.

The Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism said that while on the trip, Fazal Bahardeen, CEO of Crescent Rating, was also in contact with them. According to Fazal, Taipei has an established Muslim tourist industry. It has greater potential for the growth of the Muslim tourist sector than South Korea and Japan. Many Muslim nations, like Malaysia and Indonesia, are looking for new tourism locations. The warmth and tolerance of Taipei residents have already drawn praise and several tourist business owners' interest.
