Reminisced about her marriage, Chen met her Taiwanese husband while traveling in Taiwan. Back then, they could not meet each other as they were having a long-distance relationship. Keeping in touch via communication apps for four years, they decided to get married and reside in Hsinchu to build a family.

When Chen got married in Taiwan, she still cared about her mom living in Hong Kong a lot. A video phone call could not help her reduce homesickness. However, she kept a habit of texting her mom every day and made her feel reassured.
