News Focus (October 25 – October 31) 

  • Workers with “employment insurance” dismissed from work due to the epidemic can receive unemployment benefits

Many industries in Taiwan were affected by the epidemic and many workers either resigned or were dismissed from work. For migrant workers who have the “Employment Insurance Act”, they may apply for the “Unemployment Benefits”. (Read more: Attention new immigrants!   • CDC launched multilingual information for students receiving the BNT vaccine

The Central Epidemic Command Center launched a multilingual information regarding the BNT vaccine administration to students.   • Taipei relaxes limits on indoor dining

  • NIA launches “We are Family TAIWAN BRAVO!” opens photo and video submissions. New immigrants are welcome to participate!

The National Immigration Agency (NIA) in cooperation with a TV station organized the “We Are Family TAIWAN BRAVO!” event where new immigrants can share their stories about living in Taiwan.
