Spain digital arts festival to showcase Taiwanese artist's VR works

According to the [Ministry of Culture], Taiwanese new media artist Huang Hsin-chien (黃心健) will present his first solo VR exhibition "A Gateway to Memory w/ Laurie Anderson (記憶的門戶)" in celebration of the 15th edition of L.E.V. Festival at the chapel Colegiata de San Juan Bautista in Gijón, Spain from July 22 to 25.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Spain, three of Huang's iconic VR works "La Camera Insabiatta(沙中房間)," "To the Moon (登月)," and "Bodyless(失身記)" will be featured at the exhibition. These are the only VR works showcased at this year's festival.

According to the [Ministry of Culture], the L.E.V festival curated by Nacho de la Vega and Cristina de Silva is one of the most important events in the digital art field in Spain, which has gained a strong reputation and support in Europe. Each year, more than ten thousand visitors participate in the festival. This year, a total of 17 programs will be launched by several countries including Taiwan, Japan, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, and France.
