[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] "KING KONG" Jiang (江恩明) and his wife Chen (陳啟茵) from Hong Kong were invited as lecturers to share their experiences as new immigrants in Taiwan at the course (新住民家庭教育與法令宣導課程) of National Immigration Agency Taipei City Service Center day ago. Moreover, they made rose soap bouquets with participating new immigrants together.
Chen (陳啟茵) has been working on real estate development in Hong Kong for 10 years, while Jiang (江恩明) has been working in tourism promotion for 10 years. The family moved to Taiwan in 2017 and started a catering company in the style of Hong Kong. They also manage the podcast channel (吃飽太閒). Jiang (江恩明) shared how unfamiliar he was with Taiwanese society when he initially arrived and new family member’s arrive at 2019 on Facebook (KING KONG爸媽移民臺灣大作戰), and published a book of the same name in 2021.

The chance to immigrant to Taiwan resulted from the KING KONG family's desire for Taiwanese educational ideas and cultural practices. Cram-style learning is more prevalent in Hong Kong's educational culture than in Taiwan, where the emphasis is on relaxation and the development of talent. Jiang (江恩明) took his wife with resolve. Let the kids go to Taiwan and get their education there so they can have a positive outlook on life rather than focusing solely on their academic success.
Jiang (江恩明) recalled how, when arriving in Taiwan for the first time, he was fortunate enough to make touch with the local church. This allowed him to experience warmth and enthusiasm, which caused him to cry on the spot, and he also gained support in his personal life and spiritually. Holding on to the memory of the kind assistance he received in the beginning, He is now beginning to assist Hong Kong immigrants as well. He will continue to assist them as they open showrooms and begin their new lives in Taiwan.
According to the director of NIA Taipei Service Center(蘇慧雯), that in order to cultivate the second-generation immigrants in Taiwan, the "Second-generation Immigrant Ambassador 2.0 Power Building Project" is open for registration until March 20th, children of new immigrants who are currently living in New Taipei City or Taipei City, studying in high (vocational) school or colleges are welcome.
