Since Taichung City began selling early-bird monthly passes, more than 10,000 individuals have purchased them, and the number is still rising, according to the director of the Transportation Bureau. A commuter brought up the fact that switching between the MRT, Taiwan Railway, and public bicycles during the workday is necessary for commuters. The director of Transportation Bureau also made it clear that only 18 MRT stations provide ticket sales, and that the early-bird discount pre-sale period falls on weekends. It is advised that residents who need to buy tickets disperse to certain sales areas to do so in advance. To make buying easier for the general public, there will be additional places to buy after the formal opening in July.
