Tainan Tourism Bureau launches "Google Real View" in 3 languages to attract foreigners to visit the old capital

The Tainan City Bureau of Tourism (台南市府觀旅局) first launched a Google real-world experience of Tainan's "Mr. Fish Head Gets Lost in Tainan Fun" (魚頭君出題，迷路台南趣) travel game. The mascot of the Bureau of Tourism, Mr. Fish Head, leads players through 10 scenic spots, hoping to leave a deep impression to those who cannot physically travel around Tainan during the epidemic, and increase their wish to visit Tainan.

The Tainan City Government Bureau of Tourism said that many people or new immigrants wanted to visit the old capital, but they were unable to travel due to the epidemic, especially since the airport has not yet been opened. Because of this, Tainan Bureau of Tourism built games for online visitors to experience Tainan, including 10 well-known Tainan attractions such as the Lin Department Store, Tainan Art Museum, Yong Cheng Theater, Tainan County Magistrate’s Residence, Chikan Tower, Jing Liao Old Street, Ching Shan Fishing Harbor, 1934 Historic Restaurant at Hsin Hua District Council, Madou Datian Temple, and Black-faced Spoonbill Bird Watching Pavilion. Through Google Real View and with different stages of questions as guides on the topic, players can experience Tainan’s streets online.

In addition, the game website has also set up English and Japanese versions to allow foreigners to travel to Tainan without entering Taiwan during the epidemic.
