CECC confirms 1 more imported case in Taiwan on April 15. 

According to FOCUS TAIWAN, Taiwan confirmed one new imported case of COVID-19 on April, involving a Taiwanese girl under the age of 5, who recently returned from Indonesia.

The child, who holds residency in Indonesia, developed a cough there on March 21, but it subsided after she was given medication, and she traveled to Taiwan with a family member a week later, the CECC said.

Shortly after they arrived in Taiwan, the child's relative tested positive for COVID-19, and the girl was tested twice for the disease, the CECC said.

FOCUS TAIWAN mentions, the first test was negative, but the second one was positive, it said.

And A different relative, who had been taking care of the child, has been asked to quarantine, according to the CECC.

Taiwan has recorded 1,068 cases of COVID-19, 952 of which have been classified as imported. Of the total, 1,031 have recovered, 11 have died and 26 are in hospital, according to CECC statistics as of April 15.
