“The idea of the world-class duty-free store that will promote Philippines as a shopping destination to boost the country’s shopping tourism has culmination years ago, and today, the opening of the Luxe marks the beginning” Duty Free Philippines Corp. Chief Operating Officer Vicente Angala said during the store's grand launch on Friday.
Angala also cited a United Naitons World Tourism Organization report, shared that shopping is a key factor affecting destination choice and is often a “prime travel motivation”.

Also, Angala , together with Senator Nncy Binay, opened new boutiques and introduced the Marahuyo, an all-Filipino concept store, inside Luxe. He said ,” we need more spaces, especially in airports, so as to invite more brand to come in. The more brands we have, the number of sales we will increase.”
