Is Chocolate with White Bloom Still Safe to Eat?
Chocolate was bought for home and left for a while. It has white frost on the surface. Does this mean it's no longer safe to eat? Experts say this is a normal chemical reaction, usually due to improper storage temperature or exposure to a humid environment. Sugar recrystallizes after water evaporates. While this frost slightly affects taste and appearance, it's still safe to eat. To enjoy the best chocolate flavor, experts offer the following five suggestions: First, store chocolate in a dry, cool environment; 15-18 degrees Celsius is the optimal storage temperature. Second, avoid storing in the refrigerator. Third, when choosing chocolate, select varieties with higher cocoa content and lower fat and sugar content. Fourth, avoid chocolates containing allergens. Five, seal the package after opening to prevent moisture.
Don't Ignore Chronic Diarrhea; It May Lead to Cancer if Left Untreated
Chronic diarrhea is a common yet often overlooked health issue that, if not addressed promptly, can lead to more severe health risks. Chronic diarrhea is defined as diarrhea lasting more than four weeks. If accompanied by symptoms such as bloody stools, weight loss, or fever, immediate medical consultation is necessary to rule out potential underlying health issues. Chronic diarrhea not only affects quality of life but, if left untreated, prolonged inflammation may progress to cancer, particularly colorectal cancer. Additionally, patients with chronic diarrhea are prone to malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, and calorie deficits, which can lead to further health complications. Therefore, if you experience prolonged diarrhea, seek medical evaluation as soon as possible and follow appropriate treatment recommendations.
