Handmade Water Lanterns, Wearing Thai Traditional Clothing: The National Immigration Agency Takes You to Experience the Charm of Thailand's Loy Krathong Festival

The 15th day of the 12th month in the Thai lunar calendar is Loy Krathong, usually falling in November on the Gregorian calendar. During the Loy Krathong Festival, Thai people gather by rivers and ponds, holding colorful, beautifully decorated water lanterns, sincerely praying as they slowly release them into the flowing water. This act symbolizes worshipping the water goddess, washing away past mistakes, and praying for good fortune in the coming year. To help immigrant families learn about and experience the diversity of Thai culture, the Taoyuan Service Station of the Northern Division of the National Immigration Agency recently held a family education and legal promotion course for immigrant families. Participants were taught how to make handmade water lanterns and experienced wearing traditional Thai clothing to celebrate the traditional Thai festival together.

AI Era Fraud, Be Careful with Online Investment Videos

With the rapid development of AI, fraud syndicates have begun to use this technology for scams. Global streaming video scam ads have increased by 60%, particularly on YouTube and Meta's Reels short videos, where there have been instances of misusing the backgrounds of well-known stock information companies and using ordinary people pretending to be financial experts to reveal new financial news, thus inducing people to invest and fall victim to scams. The Criminal Investigation Bureau reminds the public not to easily trust financial information shared on social media, such as advertisements and posts claiming to reveal stock investment secrets. If people have investment needs, they must go to legally registered entities that provide formal financial services, visit their branches in person, and be assisted by professionals working at these institutions to install and check legitimate investment apps, to reduce the risk of falling for scams.

3 Detox Foods to Say Goodbye to Constipation and Dull Skin

Minor discomforts in life, such as constipation, dull skin, and bad breath, are often due to the accumulation of excess waste in the body that cannot be expelled in time. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners remind us that these issues can actually be improved through dietary adjustments, especially by consuming dragon fruit, barley tea, and ginger. Dragon fruit can promote intestinal peristalsis, aiding in bowel movements. The albumin it contains can bind with heavy metals, helping the body eliminate toxins. Barley tea, made from barley and cassia seeds, contains rich diuretic minerals that help promote fluid metabolism. It is recommended to drink more barley tea when experiencing edema or feeling heaviness in the body. Ginger, whether brewed as ginger tea or added to dishes, can promote internal circulation, helping those who do not sweat easily to expel toxins from the body.
