[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] The top 10 most-searched cultural sites worldwide in 2022, according to Google Map statistics, are the following: Big Ben in the UK, Buckingham Palace in the UK, the Pyramid of Gouf in Egypt, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, the Royal Palace in Brussels, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taiwan, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taiwan, France Louvre Pyramid, Ideal Palace in France, and Gyeongbokgung Palace in South Korea.

According to Google Taiwan, two of the top 10 most-searched cultural sites on Google Maps worldwide in 2022 will be in Taiwan, surpassing several well-known locations in France and South Korea. Osaka, Sapporo, and Okinawa in Japan are among the other top 10 cities. Other cities on the list are Seoul in South Korea, Bangkok in Thailand, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in Vietnam, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and Singapore.

The fact that Taiwanese users of Google Maps spent the most time interacting with the High Speed Rail Taichung Station and Taichung Railway Station during the Spring Festival reflects the significance of transportation at this time, according to Google. The majority of the other places on the list are shopping malls or festival markets, which also demonstrates that Taiwanese people are actively looking for places to buy new things and comprehensive leisure activities during the Spring Festival, with the exception of Taoyuan Airport, which ranked fifth due to the busy entry and exit during the Spring Festival.

According to the company, Taipei's Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park ranked sixth and seventh on the list, respectively, followed by France's Louvre and Ideal Palace and South Korea's Gyeongbokgung Palace.

The Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, the Royal Palace in Brussels in Belgium, and Buckingham Palace and Big Ben in the UK were the top five most searched cultural landmarks.
