  • Final call! Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program has entered the final stage.

National Immigration Agency's "Expanded Overstayers Voluntary Departure Program" has reached the last stretch this year. NIA have issued an appeal to overstayers to seize the opportunity and self-report before June 30th to receive minimum fine of 2,000 NTD and be exempted from entry ban and detention. NIA appeals to the overstayers to take advantage of the program's last phase as soon as possible in order to prevent harsher penalties in the future.

  • Taiwan Water Corporation cautions the public not to believe Facebook job scam ads.

Recently, the general public reported seeing a recruitment posting purporting to be from the Taiwan Water Corporation, which described the hiring of meter readers for a high salary of 70,000 to 100,000 NTD. The Taiwan Water Corporation made it clear that open hiring will be in compliance with the professional organizations of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Taiwan Water Corporation also urges the public to research online job postings carefully to avoid falling victim to scams.

  • Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival to cooperates with Disney to present classic character sand sculptures

On June 9th, 2023, the Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival took place.

The organizer and Disney have collaborated to produce the exclusive "Disney Centennial Celebration" themed sand sculpture exhibition in Taiwan. 71 themed sand sculptures made by a combined 15 sand sculptors from Taiwan and other nations.

And 66 of the sand sculptures were themed with Disney. The Festival will be up until October 22nd.

  • 2023 Dadaocheng Summer Festival features fireworks shows

The "Dadaocheng Summer Festival" will be held at Yanping Riverside Park this year, according to the Department of Information and Tourism. According to the director of the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government, the Dadaocheng Summer Festival will run from July 1st to August 20th this year.
