The Ministry of Transportation and Communications Tourism Bureau has collaborated with cities and counties across Taiwan to promote "Taiwan's 100 Tourist Highlights" through the "Monthly Island Party" marketing campaign. Each month, a different city or county takes the spotlight to showcase its unique attractions. During the handover ceremony, December’s spotlight destinations—Taipei City, Chiayi County, and Chiayi City—passed the baton to January 2024’s spotlight counties: Changhua and Pingtung. Both counties have announced a series of themed events and discounts for January, while the Tourism Bureau also revealed that the Taiwan Tour Bus will offer a 70% discount in the first quarter (January to March) of next year to attract more travelers to explore highlighted destinations.

Tour Bus Discounts Encourage Exploration of Taiwan's Highlights

The Tourism Bureau stated that Taiwan Tour Bus travel packages will continue to offer a "buy one, get one free" deal for two travelers, with additional special rates as low as 10% of the original price in Hualien. For the first quarter of next year, the discounts will expand to Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Changhua, Kaohsiung, and Pingtung, with a 70% discount encouraging visitors to use public transportation to explore various local attractions with ease.
