The "Spend a Night @ Taiwan's Presidential Office Building" shortlist for this year was revealed by the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC). There were 15 groups chosen, representing 12 different countries. From September until December, they will remain at the Office of the President, tour picturesque locations across several Taiwanese counties and cities, and then share diverse facets of Taiwan with audiences across the world via social media.

Mitchell Moffit & Gregory Brown andNurlan Karimov from Canada, Joseph Hanson and Drew Goldberg from the United States, LEE SOYEON from South Korea, Govert Charles Wilhelmus Jacob Sweep from the Netherlands, Thitid Tassanakajohn from Thailand, and Richard Quentin Paul Camille from France; 片倉佳史&片倉真理, SHIORI from Japan; The Anh Phan from Vietnam; VISHNU SAHA from India; Patrik Paulínyi from Slovakia; Chin Chianyao from Malaysia; and Asaf & Tzuf & Sol Inchi from Israel are among the 15 groups of proposers chosen this year.

According to the GACC Secretary-General (李厚慶), 15 groups of proposers from 12 nations were ultimately chosen from 28 countries and close to 100 groups of registration materials during the two-month period for collecting ideas. The fact that there are much more opinion leaders with knowledge-based platforms distinguishes this year's candidates from those of the previous year. Along with tourism, there are more individuals who are passionate about art, gastronomy, and history. For instance, Chef Ton (Thitid Tassanakajohn), the top Asian restaurant chef, AsapSCIENCE (Mitchell Moffit & Gregory Brown), a Canadian scientific education YouTube channel with tens of millions of subscribers, Drew Goldberg, an American YouTuber whose videos have received over 5 billion views, etc.
