The Covid-19 epidemic in Europe is gradually easing, and the international large-scale "Festival D’Avignon" (外亞維儂藝術節) will resume today until July 31. The Centre Culturel de Taiwan a’ Paris (Paris Taiwan Cultural Center, 巴黎台灣文化中心) considered both the health risks to the Taiwan team and the epidemic prevention restrictions of the French government, in the planning of the "TAIWAN POP-IN AVIGNON" online promotion. This is to provide the team with integration and opportunities which demonstrates the spirit of mutual strengthening and cooperation in the performing arts community during the epidemic. At the same time, it also includes observations and comments of French theater professionals on the participation of the Taiwanese team in the “Festival D’ Avignon”, which help continue to deepen the cultural exchanges between Taiwan and France and let Taiwan’s performing arts continue to shine on the international stage.

In order to enhance the effectiveness of the project and present a diversified perspective, the online promotion program of "TAIWAN POP-IN AVIGNON" is divided into two units: the "Annual Team Introduction" (年度團隊介紹篇) and the "Taiwan French Art and Literature Screening" (台法藝文交映篇). The protagonist of the “Annual Team Introduction” are the four teams that were originally selected to participate in the Festival D’Avignon in 2020 but had to cancel their performances due to the epidemic. These include "La Cie MaxMind" (拾念劇集), "Hung Dance" (翃舞製作), and "Resident Island Dance Theater" (翃舞製作) and "Hsing Legend Theater" (興傳奇青年劇場). Through the production team's film, talk, creativity and other essential contents, the public can further understand the creative concept and development status of each group's work.
