The Taoyuan City Government's Department of Women and Children Development is committed to promoting multicultural policies and addressing new immigrant affairs. After months of preparation and interviews, the third issue of the Taoyuan New Immigrant Special Edition has officially been published. This issue focuses on the stories of new immigrant children, showcasing their growth and journey of realizing their dreams in the multicultural city of Taoyuan.

The special edition is bilingual, providing content in Chinese along with four additional languages: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, and English. Physical copies are available for free at the municipal library and its branches, while the digital version is accessible on the Taoyuan City eBook platform (https://ebook.tycg.gov.tw/book/list.php?type=42), inviting residents to explore its content.

This issue features the inspiring stories of several new immigrant children, highlighting how they leverage their bicultural strengths to excel in academics, arts, and sports. It also showcases how these children contribute to public service, giving back to society and bringing about positive changes. Using their cultural backgrounds, mother tongues, and personal efforts, they inject new vitality into Taoyuan. The final section of the publication provides a comprehensive overview of the services offered by the Taoyuan City Government, enabling new immigrant families to find the resources and support they need.

Director Du Tzu-jung of the Department of Women and Children Development emphasized that the third issue of the Taoyuan New Immigrant Special Edition not only documents the growth and efforts of new immigrant children but also highlights how immigrants act as "cultural adhesives." By utilizing their diverse backgrounds, they play a pivotal role in fostering social cohesion and progress. Through this publication, it is hoped that residents can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture and contributions of new immigrants, fostering mutual understanding and exchange.

The Taoyuan City Government's New Immigrant Joint Service Center will continue promoting related activities through publications and events, providing more opportunities for communication between new immigrants and the government, and making Taoyuan a city that embraces multiculturalism.
