2024 Ximen PLAY Fun Shopping District
This year, Ximen PLAY Fun Shopping District takes inspiration from Ximending’s iconic "Rainbow Six" crosswalk, reimagining it with dopamine-inspired colors and the theme "Colorful Shopping PLAY." The main visual was designed by local Ximending artist Fu Xinghan, showcasing the vibrant and diverse features of the district's shops.
Nine popular installations bring the district to life, such as the colorful LABUBU (POP MART) 8-meter-tall rainbow Christmas tree at Exit 6 of the MRT and the Fun Shopping Town Stage for the Color Party in the Red House Plaza. Ximending has been transformed into a giant playground!
Every Saturday from 2 PM to 5 PM, the "Color Party" performances bring a weekly theme for five consecutive weeks. Week 1 starts with "Energetic Orange-Red Week," followed by "Trendy Electric Colors Week" in weeks 2 and 3. Expect exciting performances each week—don’t miss out!
Dazzling Light Displays in East District
Looking for festive fun this December? Come to Taipei! The "2024 Vibrant Christmas in Taipei" celebration has already begun and runs from November 22, 2024, to January 1, 2025. This year-end event brings music, art, light displays, and a fantastic shopping experience, making it the perfect Christmas getaway.

Gongguan Christmas Season
Celebrate Christmas at Gongguan Water Park with the "2024 Gongguan Christmas Season," held from November 30 to December 31. The Taipei Water Department decorates the park with festive flowers and light displays, creating a magical holiday atmosphere.
On opening day (November 30), admission to the park is free. Enjoy performances by street musicians at the outdoor music bar and warm up with one of 300 free cups of hot drinks provided to visitors—don’t miss this heartwarming Christmas experience!

Five Major Light Zones on Xinsheng South Road
The romantic Christmas season is here! The "2024 Taipei Christmas Love Unlimited" features five stunning light zones along Xinsheng South Road, known as "The Pathway to Heaven." The celebration extends to surrounding shopping districts, including Gongguan, Yongkang, and Shida Longquan, offering a "Christmas Shopping Carnival" with prizes for spending over NT$100.
For the first time, a "Christmas Concert" will feature folk and Christmas songs, adding even more festive joy. Visitors are invited to enjoy the lights, snap photos, and explore nearby attractions while immersing themselves in Taipei’s winter holiday spirit.
2024 Shining MRT Light Village - Heart of Light
To celebrate the holiday season, Taipei Metro has created the "2024 Shining MRT Light Village - Heart of Light," running now until February 16, 2025. This spectacular light display spans Xinzhongshan Linear Park, Xinshuanglian Linear Park, Fuzhong Station, and Daan Forest Park Station.
Highlights include the Jiemi Amusement Light Sea, a giant playful Jiemi installation, a sparkling starlight arch bridge, adorable whale sculptures, and Christmas trees, creating a dreamy and festive atmosphere. Visitors can also participate in raffle activities for a chance to win exciting prizes while enjoying the stunning light installations.
