
The National Immigration Agency (NIA) produced this program to provide new immigrants and their children with support and rewards to encourage them to become active and to obtain certificates. This also serves as incentives to aid them in cultivating their skills and competitiveness. It is hope that through the scholarships (incentive), family burdens may be reduce and at the same time members will be encouraged to work hard.
New immigrants
Certificate Scholarships (NT$3,000 – 30,000), Excellence Scholarships (NT$8,000 – 12,000), Scholarship for Low-income Students (NT$8,000 – 12,000)
New immigrants’ children
Presidential Education Scholarships (NT$15,000), Special Talent Scholarships (NT$5,000 – 10,000), Excellence Scholarships (NT$2,000 – 11,000), Scholarships for low-income Student (NT$3,000 – 12,000)

After completing the online registration, please mail your application form along with related documents to the NIA, Ministry of the Interior.

Registration period: Monday, February 20, 2023, to Monday March 20, 2023 (according to postmark). The applicant may be notified over the phone or email once to complete any missing information. If the applicant does not complete missing information, it will be deemed as giving up their application. Furthermore, if the application is not completed within the deadline, the registration will be regarded as incomplete.
Deadline for receipt of paper application materials: March 27, 2023.
Release of list of scholarship recipients: Expected end of May 2023.

If the registration period details have changed, applicants will be notified before mailing their application to the NIA, Ministry of the Interior, (according to postmark). The applicant may be notified over the phone or email once to complete any missing information. If the applicant does not complete missing information, it will be deemed as giving up their application. Furthermore, if the application is not completed within the deadline, the registration will be regarded as incomplete and hence rejected.
The list of winners will be announced on the Ministry of the Interior, National Immigration Agency, Republic of China (Taiwan) and New Immigrants and their Children’s Development and Scholarship (Incentive) Program” system and IFI Network.
Scholarship winners and recipients must log onto the New Immigrants and their Children’s Development and Scholarship (Incentive) Program” system within the time limit and download and print the receipt containing the serial number. After signing and stamping the document, send a copy of a Taiwan dollar bank deposit book to the NIA, Ministry of the Interior. Issues regarding funding, overdue, and missing information, the recipient will be notified. If the recipient does not complete missing information, it will be deemed as giving up their application. Furthermore, if the application is not completed within the deadline, the registration will be regarded as incomplete and hence rejected.
Regarding the prize money, the NIA will directly transfer the amount to the account of the winter. If there is no Taiwan dollar bank deposit book, after filling out the affidavit letter, the amount can be sent to secondary relatives of the spouse and immediate relatives as well.
