Singapore began easing restrictions in restaurants in mid-June, adjusting the maximum limit of persons dining in from 2 to 5 on July 12. However, cluster infections recently occurred in nightclubs and other entertainment centers. The Singaporean authorities responded immediately by tightening measures and returned to the maximum of 2 persons dining in restaurants.
Dining-in at F&B establishments will be reduced to groups of two for people who are not fully vaccinated, the co-chair of the multi-ministerial task force Gan Kim Yong announced.

Those who are fully vaccinated can continue to dine-in in groups of five, he added, speaking at a press conference on Friday (Jul 16).
Singapore's "SafeEntry" system is mandatory especially for 5 persons dining together at restaurants, taking into consideration children below 12 years old not eligible for vaccinations.

Singapore banned nighttime entertainment venues starting October 2020, with more than 400 venues, including KTVs and nightclubs which were transformed into dining venues. Authorities ask business owners to temporarily suspend their operations and business owners engaged in illegal activities have also had their licenses revoked.
